Our Roads · For Boys And Men

My Emerald Road

A standard of integrity he holds for himself, whether or not anyone is watching.

The same world that was afraid of a woman's power was also afraid of a man's tenderness, so it took both.

The Road

Every Step Of It

It Begins With Them

The Atelier gets to know each person first, in a conversation and never a form.

Years 7 to 12

In Schools

  1. Year 7

    His Feelings

At 12 and 13, he finds words for what he feels and learns that tenderness is a strength he already has; when every boy has the words, a whole year group becomes kinder to live in.

    His Mates

At 13 and 14, he learns what a real mate does (has his back, knows where banter ends, steps in) so the whole schoolyard becomes a place where boys look out for each other.

  3. Year 9

    His Steadiness

At 14 and 15, he learns to respond rather than react and to see what his screens are teaching him, so he becomes the steady one in any room and boys his age become safer to be around.

    His Share

At 15 and 16, he learns to see the invisible work that keeps a home, a team and a school running and to carry his share of it, so the load lands fairly and the people he lives with get time back for their own lives.

Every Session, In Full

Where It Runs

In Schools

Years 7 to 12, one term a year, so a boy grows into a young man who knows how to feel, how to keep his word, and what safety looks like to give.

Beside My Ruby Road

In coed schools the two roads run together, so the girls and the boys grow up hearing the same truth.

My Emerald Road is one of the ways Women Of OZ builds a world where women are honoured.
